In mid-2022, JPI Urban Europe’s Driving Urban Transitions programme (DUT) will be launched which focuses on three urban transition pathways: (1) Circular urban economies for regenerative urbanism, (2) 15-minute cities: driving mobility transitions through the neighbourhood level, and (3) Urban energy transition through positive energy districts. While each transition pathway follows a mission to make urban areas more climate-neutral, liveable and sustainable, identifying the interrelationships, connections, contradictions and synergies between them is essential to support urban transitions in an integrated manner.
