As countries and cities adapt to living with Covid-19 and design and implement recovery strategies they have been presented with a unique opportunity: an opportunity to build back better and to use innovative tools such as nature-based solutions to do so. Building a strong city ecosystem using nature-based solutions that support society, nature and economic growth is key but will also be challenging.

The first Connecting Nature Summit will explore the challenges and opportunities and present innovations emerging to support the design, implementation and stewardship of nature-based solutions in cities. Summit content is being designed around the following themes: Healing sick cities, reducing the risks, from recession to recovery. A wide range of innovators including community led initiatives, city led innovations, nature-based enterprises, other H2020 funded projects and international experts will present their views.
